The Light Editor is a simplified editing experience intended for non-designers. It focuses on essential tools for quick content updates while removing unnecessary complexity, compared to Ad Studio, where you can access all editing capabilities.
Access & Permissions
- Content Editors. They can open designs and brand templates¹ in the Light Editor.
- Designers (and above). They can open all designs in both the Light Editor and Ad Studio.
Workspace Overview
The Light Editor workspace is designed for simplicity and efficiency, providing users with a structured workspace to navigate, edit, and manage design elements. Below is a breakdown of its key components.
The Header
The header menu provides quick access to navigation and editing options. You can move between projects and manage sharing and publishing settings.
- Navigate back to the Dashboard.
- Use the burger menu to:
- Undo/Redo actions.
- Change the theme.
- Rename your design(s).
- Switch to preview mode.
- Publish from where you can choose to:
- Download.
- Serve.
- Publish on Meta.
The Left Sidebar
The left sidebar provides an organized view of all layers within a design from where you can edit² them effectively and navigate between slides.
The Right Sidebar
The right sidebar offers an overview of the existing sizes within your design and allows you to add or remove sizes as you wish.
Canvas
The canvas is the main area where you can interact and select layers within your design.
Note¹'²: When working with brand templates, the amount of editing you can do as a Content editor is limited to the permissions the Template designers have set for them.
