On Creatopy, you can create and deliver one ad for your products by adjusting the Ad Tag to control which ad variant you want to show your audience. Below, you'll be able to find a scenario on how to do this using The Feed Ad Builder, Ad Serving, and Google Sheets.
Set up your CSV
- Create your spreadsheet using Google Sheets¹.
- Input the data in your spreadsheet. In addition to the information in the CSV, a column with the Product ID is mandatory, as this will help you adjust which product you want to show to your audience.
- Go to File > Share > Publish to web.
- On the Publish window, go to the Link section.
- Select the sheet you want to be published.
- Set the spreadsheet as Comma-separated values (CSV).
- Copy the link and save it for later.
Link the CSV with the Feed Ad Builder
- Open your Design/Design Set.
- Click on Feed.
- Click Create feed.
- Select Upload from URL.
- Click on the Settings
dropdown icon.
- In the Target ID section, select the column that contains your Product IDs.
- Click Continue.
- Link the remaining columns from your CSV with the elements from your design.
Set up and Adjust the Ad Tag code
- Enable Ad Serving.
- Obtain the Ad Tag code of your design. Choose one of the two:
- Download as XLS. A Spreadsheet is downloaded to your computer where you can copy the Ad Tag.
- Copy code. Copy the Ad Tag directly from Creatopy.
- Before uploading the Ad Tag, adjust the macro code as follows:
- In the "targetID" column, replace {TARGET_ID} with a value that exists in your Product ID column from the CSV. In this scenario, we showcased the Organic Cotton T-shirt and replaced {TARGET_ID} with 2, as that's the value representing the t-shirt in the Product ID column.
- Copy the adjusted code into your Ad Network of choice as a 3rd party tag.
Note¹: You can use any spreadsheet software to input your data. Additionally, you can use any of these platforms to source your data from a CSV file.
