In the fast-paced world of digital advertising, capturing audiences' attention has become increasingly challenging. This is where the importance of animations on text layers comes into play. Animations can add depth, movement, and visual interest to otherwise static and uninteresting text-based content, making it more engaging and memorable for viewers.
How to Apply a Text Animation in the Editor
- Open your design.
- Open the
Timeline.
- Identify where you want to apply the animation (
Build-in,
Middle,
Build-out).
- Select an animation preset, or you can
Build your¹ animation.
- Go to
Custom settings to change additional animation settings (optional).
- Click the
Play icon to preview the animation and adjust as needed.
How to Apply a Text Animation in the Generator
- Open your design set.
- Double-click any available size to access Individual edit mode.
- Open the
Timeline.
- Identify where you want to apply the animation (
Build-in,
Middle,
Build-out).
- Select an animation preset, or you can
Build your² animation.
- Go to
Custom settings to change additional animation settings (optional).
- If you wish to apply the same animation to all the existing sizes within that set, follow these steps:
- From the
Custom settings card, click
Copy.
- Click on
Paste to.
- Select
All layouts.
- From the
- Click the
Play icon to preview the animation and adjust as needed.

Important: When using custom fonts and exporting your design or set as HTML or AMP, it's advised to use the Convert custom fonts to SVG option. However, this option will disable Gradient and Shadow Pop animations. Words Fade and Words Blur animations are applied to the entire text instead of individual words.
