What is Ad Serving?
An ad tag code delivers an advanced HTML script designed to work on a specific ad network. It has been built to withstand high traffic volumes, removing the file size restrictions imposed by an ad network. It also supports live updates, which means that you can edit your design and the ad tag will be automatically updated with your changes.
Keep in mind that the ad serving feature is an add-on, meaning that it will be charged additionally, on top of your current subscription, based on the number of impressions your ads generate.
To start using the ad serving, you have to activate it from the Team Settings panel. Then, you need to choose the impressions tier using the slider, and select your payment method.
Once activated, you can start using it by opening the design editor or generator, select your preferred ad network/s, and copy the ad tag code.
You also have a standard AdTag for general use that acts like a high-volume embed code that you can integrate on your website, for example.
Adding a landing page source to your design is crucial, so a ClickTag is a must when you're designing creatives that will work as a bridge between your funnels and your website or products. You can easily do this by enabling the ClickTag function and adding your landing page URL into the box. What’s more, you can even choose how the landing page should open once a viewer interacts with it—in the same tab or in a new one. Keep in mind that this option overwrites all the other URL settings for your designs.
Apart from the ClickTag enabler, you might notice a second one called Responsive scaling. This function allows your designs to automatically scale for different resolutions so that your design to screen ratio will always be proportionate. This is extremely helpful in case someone views the design from a smaller display like a smartphone or a tablet.
Any edits performed on your design will be updated in real-time without having to download and upload a modified version of your creative to your ad network. Just click on the Ad serving button, and select Update live content to sync any updates. The color of the ad serving button will change from orange to yellow on a design that is live and has been modified.
Lastly, you can download a performance report from the Team Settings > Ad Serving section, after you've marked your required data points. Select the information you want to be included, and click on Download .CSV.
