As you work on your creative projects, there may come a time when you need to replace an element. This could be due to various reasons, such as needing a different image, video, or graphic to convey your message better. Fortunately, Ad Studio offers several intuitive methods for replacing elements: clicking and drag&drop. This guide will walk you through these two simple and efficient techniques.
By Click
Replacing an element by clicking is a straightforward process. Here's how you can do it:
- Start by selecting the element you wish to replace. Click on the element you want to change within your staging area.
- Head over to the properties bar on the right-hand side of your screen.
- Find the Replace section in the properties bar. This section is where you'll manage your element replacements.
- Click on the dropdown menu next to the Replace section. You will be presented with several options to replace the element¹.
- Choose the most suitable replacement option based on your project's needs.
- After finding a replacement, click Done. This action finalizes the replacement process and sends you to the editing phase of the new element.
- Now that your element is replaced, you can make any necessary adjustments to the new element.
By Drag & Drop
You can use the drag & drop method for a more hands-on approach to element replacement. Here's how:
- Begin by selecting the replacement element from the brand kit, local storage, or any other source within Creatopy.
- With your selected replacement element, drag it over the element you wish to replace in your creative. Drop the replacement onto the element you want to change.
- The element will replace the original one. This drag&drop action works for replacing elements of different categories, allowing you to be creative with your swaps. For example, you can substitute a Call-to-Action (CTA) with an image.
Note¹: The options on the dropdown menu will vary depending on the element you've selected. For example, if you've selected an image, you can replace it with media elements (images or videos).
Important: The replace functionality gives the possibility to replace elements depending on what layout is selected, whether at an individual (Focus mode) or layout level (All, Square, Vertical, or Horizontal layouts).
