In Ad Studio, the layout selector helps filter layouts on the stage. Located at the center of the top bar, it enables you to work with multiple sizes simultaneously or focus on a single size.
All Layouts
When All layouts is selected, you can:
- Work with all layouts simultaneously.
- Access specific orientation modes (square, vertical, horizontal) through the dropdown menu.
- Any change made will affect the selected layout(s).
Working in All layouts mode
When editing in All layouts mode, be aware of these important indicators:
- An alert appears in the properties bar when an element is selected.
- Layer alignment controls are disabled.
- Text alignment controls are disabled.
Focus mode
Focus mode allows you to isolate and work on a single size. You can enter Focus mode in several ways:
- Double-clicking on a size while in All layouts.
- Using the Edit button that appears when zoomed in on a size while in All layouts.
- Using the toggle to switch to Focus mode, select the desired size while panning the stage.
Visual indicators in Focus mode
While in Focus mode, you’ll notice:
- An overlay on other sizes on the stage.
- Dedicated layout selector icon + size name.
- Orange accents on size info (name and pixel dimension) + Exit button.
- Orange stage border.
- Orange bounding boxes.
Exiting Focus mode
You can exit Focus mode by:
- Double-clicking outside of a design.
- Double-clicking on the name and pixel dimensions label.
- Double-clicking on the main type label.
- Using the layout selector switcher.
- Pressing ESC.
- Using the Exit button.
Important: The layout selector is absent when working on a single size. Also, orientation options will only appear in the dropdown menu when layouts of that orientation are present on the stage.
